Well I woke up early Sunday morning thanks to Alexander calling me repeatedly. I was sure it was flat, and I was not in the mood to wake up. It was flat in the shores, but Alex said there was cars at the fruitstand. In any case I thought if there was waves at fruitstand there might be swell in Hueneme, so I told him to come pick me up.
We checked hueneme and there was waves but not too great. We ended up going to fruitstands, and it was pretty epic.
About shoulder high, occasional bigger sets, no wind and we had a great peak all to ourselves. This was the only place with shortboardable waves in Ventura, and I actually got 2 lefts that walled up all the way to the shore, plenty of lip hits and wrap-arounds, and 1 little cover up.
