Description:

We rented a cabin for three days at Nimitz beach right on the cove.  I was able to surf this break at sunrise every morning for about two hours and never saw another surfer, several turtles and one shark but no surfers.  The waves were not epic in fact they averaged about waste to shoulder with the very rare head high.  Surfing the south in the winter is always hit or miss, but also very few people.  Trying to surf after the trades picked up was futile as the already small swell was blown out and choppy.  I will be returning in the spring to catch an awesome sunrise swell with a beautiful view of the south shore to Diamondhead.
