Surf trip description:

Left Puerto Rico with my best friends Puru and LongJohn to get to Hawaii but we only had about a hundred dollars between us as we landed in Miami!!

We hitchiked to Pennsylvania to get a car that Logjohn's brother gave us (Chevy 1962 Biscayne) and drove across the United States sleeping in the car and bathing in public bathrooms. Worked in Texas for three months and got enough money to get plane tickets to Hawaii from California.

Surfed evrything in Hawaii from Velzyland to Waimea Bay, and had the most epic sessions of our lifes at an outerbreak of Mokuleia where we had our tent. It was the best kept secret on the North Shore.

Met and surfed with all my heroes, Hackman,Lopez,Aipa, James Jones, Fitzgerald,Aikau, Hawk bro's. Abellira, Butch van Artsdalen.

Surfed Waimea on a 20 ft. day with my 7'10" pintail, caught two waves made one dropped to the abyss on the other one.

I will never forget.

It was the experience of a lifetime.

I was 17 years old.

It was 34 years ago.

We lived on $67.00/month of food stamps.

Don't let anybody ever tell you that you can't.
