Date: from Feb 18, 2007 to Mar 23, 2007

Surf trip description:

Surfed in Puerto Rico for a few days during a nice overhead swell. Surfed Jobos, Domes, Wishing Wells, Wilderness,Pressure Point, Bridges and Gas Chambers.  Weather was dreary for the first few days and perfect for the last half of the trip.

Stayed in Aguadilla near the airport at at a nice place with a Pizza joint attached.  Had an iguana invade our room and ran around looking for it.

Josh Wilson, Gina Bradley (mom) and John Ordonez traveled with us.  The trip was fantastic, we'll be doing it again.  Looks like Guatemala in late March.  I'll do a write up on it next.

Description:

First and only session at Gas Chambers.  I was told this place doesn't break consistantly and I'm not sure because it was good the only time I went there.  The only problems are the rude Puerto Rican body boarders.  They display no courtesy or etiquitte in the lineup.  They will take off on you and purposly cause the wave to section off if possible.  I'm sure they'll be happy to hear this, but I probably won't be going back because of the spongers rudeness in the lineup.

Had fun though and my coach Josh Wilson caught a few good ones.

Lived down there for 2 years! What an experience surfing that area. Tried to hit as many spots down there as possible - even got out to Mona for a session. If you get a chance, you should get out to St. Martin, Martinique.. barbados! There is even great surfing at Culebra Island (eastern part)... glad to hear you had a great time.
