With Mitch and Olivier, we went to surf at Lacanau but the thermic wind was on. Just a little session to say we have surfed but nothing exciting compared to the morning session.

Description:
Was flat in the morning, swell sort of picked up, but so did the swell. Very short period clapot. Just about surfable, but might just as well have had a beer - since i woke my old shoulder tendon injury....aggghhh

Description:
The swell was bigger than announced (1.6m, 11s). It was far from perfect but I found some hollow ones: a big drop, a big turn , and a rush !

this was my first session with my new board, a 6'3 al's brothers . the water was cold and so many flow, the waves were not so good but it was enought for a good session, i had taken few waves until i punched my head on the board and in conclusion i need to stop smoking

When I arrived, it was really foggy with only one guy out. Waves seemed small. But when I paddle out, I realized it was bigger than I thought. Even the peak was moving, the rights were really good, glassy and no close out.
The guy went out and I surf alone: how can you explain that I surfed good waves ALONE at Lacanau ? I still don't understand.

It was bigger than expected. We didn't go to the outside banks as it seem it was powerless. We stay near the left. Photos don't show it but it was hard to catch. the waves were very fast.
I get some good bombs. My best waves were the 2 first ones and the last one: a long fast drop, near the tube and 2 good bottom turns. At the end a good session with a little frustration as waves were hard to catch

I expected that after the big tempest of the past 2 weeks, the sandbanks will be better. But the nightmare continues: beautiful sunny day, long swell but it's still unsurfable !

This was one of the first wave long rides I had. The conditions were ideal clear sky, miles of vision. The waves were visible from far far away in clear and constant sets of 4 or 5.
The spot was between plage sud and plage sud-sud in Lacanau-Ocean.
The best ride I did so far!

Haaaa, It's my first session with my new board. Great! it works perfectly. The waves were pretty good and I scored 2 tubes. The right was not as hollow and fast than the left. I was alone during all the session. It was a good choice to go early in the morning because, as it was the last possible session for the next days, it became really crowded.
Me on the right but I have surfed nearly only the lefts.

Haaaa, It's not my best session but I wanted so much to go to surf after 15 days without any session than it was nearly heaven!
The waves were mushy and there was a lot of current. But I caught around 10 waves, pretty long even they were not very hollow

COOL !
My first session ever . I was born the same year , a few month ago .
I could hardly walk yet , so my father just sat me on this olddie Original Farrely single waxed with Parafine and pushed me into tiny waves .
The water was warm , I felt safe and had great fun .
Since that day , I returned to Lacanau every summer . I know this place for years now , and feel the same intense and incredible exitement each time I approach to Lacanau . It usually begins when I drive into " Lacanau Ville " .
It has something with the shinning or something to me . it's hard to explain .
