I recently said that I have "a top five in my life" session. But this year is so good that I will need soon to reconsider my standard of what is a good session. IJust never saw such a perfection in Gironde
I could put 6 stars on this session, I will do it even there was no tube.
First part : the perfect right. 8 surfers (with the 2 usual la jenny idiots), incredible glassy wave, 150 m of ride. Top turn - cut back - top turn cut back - etc.... No less than 10tricks on a single wave.
Second part : the bull dog left. 3 surfers. With the high tide the left started to work. Even if it was not as good as the rigth, it becam better and better.
I finally decided to come back home after my 47 ieme wave. Exhausted, burned but happy !

We didn't expected much swell. And the start of the session was not very good on the bank : the left was mellow. Enough to surf but nothing very good. Then the right started to work. The right was easy too surf but very long ! Only 3 on the wave. Jerome and Loig.

This type session justifies a life of training and commitment. The sandbank was just perfect, the swell too (1.2,1.5m - 10s) and I was alone for 1 hour then we were only two on the left. The dream. I took the right board 6'4".
The wave was a left aroun a bowl. You had a long wall with a tube. I took 3 beautiful tubes (nice entry, nice ride inside, nice exit). I am so happy about this session.

What a session ! Ididn't expected much but I found beautiul 1m - 1.2m lines. No one.
The surf was perfect : a bowl, then a tube then a long wall. I got several tube with a really good one (clear entry, the eye, clear exit).
A very very good session.

I love septembre and I love La Jenny. I got fun waves to surf and got small tubes. I worked my backside grabrail and discover what was wrong.

It's the end of the summer... The weather starts to be cold. Waves were short and hollow. After 40mn the currents were strong and waves get worse.

We started to drive at 7:15 and arrived in the water at 8:0. The day was beautiful: a classic september session.
Waves were powerful and a bit cloe out. BUT 50% were opening... 1.5, sometimes more, of hollow walls. SWOP wanted to take some photos with my fish. Gloups ! I didn't want to go with my too small board in these monsters....
I went with the fish. I got incredible waves: one was a hollow drop them a thick lip on 20 meter in front of me, backside...and I passed through !!! The board was great...
after 1h30 with the fish, I decide to take the 6'4" because I was exhausted. And the party was still on ! lefts and rights !
What a day !

A good session to remember !
First peak: we were just 3 then 6 (with 3 longboards). Thanks to the guys, the longboarders were very polite and didn't take all the waves ! I took fun tubes and a long one... My fish is a good board !
After 3:30, I went to the other peak (was a little better) to salute Swop. But the atmospher ewas very very bad because 2 or 3 stupid surfers. One of them even hit my board: I have to repair it !

I test today my new smallest board: a 5'8" modern fish (a full deep concave) SWOP in remplacement on my 6'0" Maurice Cole. I was pretty worried to test it (would the board as good as the old one ?)
Check the result first: a big thanks to Fredo. It's my most beautiful board ever. I didn't put any pad in order to not hide the drawing. And you know what ? I discover that a pad isn't necessary: I can surf as good with only wax.
The surf: ouch. It was low tide and it was just a right slab ! Not the best day to test a new board. I was backside to complicate my test.
Hard to take, very steepy, short but sooooo powerful, waves were just a square !
And the test was passed: the board was better than the previous one (same outline and volume but 2 inches shorter and smaller fins thanks to the advice of SWOP). It turns faster with a lot of reactivity. I managed to surf backside square waves. I didn't catched any tube because I didn't the level to....
After Teiki came in the water: OUCH, tubes, 1,20 high aerial. I have room for improvement.
Hum seems fast with boiling sand ? It is...

What a session ! I was really disappointed at the parking because I have forgotten my wetsuit. It was the first time ever it happened in 20 years of surf. I crossed the dunes: the surf was just perfect. Long tubular 1.5m waves cranked on the sand bank with only one surfer.
Nethermind, I jumped into the water with my trunks. It was not so cold. I surfed 2 hours (one hour, then I went out for 30mn because I was frozen the I came back).
The waves were really fast but surfable ! I surfed alone for one hour on this perfect left with colors of Bali.
At the end, the swell rose up, the north wind get stronger and the current was insane: the session was over.A good session

The same day just one hour after, at an other spot but this was this type waves I had !

So after the morning session at Le Porge, after a cheeseburger, a sandwich with artificial chicken, 3 beers, we decided to surf again at La Jenny. And it was rewarding.
At first, the swell was ugly with a tide too low. but after 45mn, waves started to become better. I got some good walls pretty fast but not too much, mainly rights.
I had to go to school to take my children and we had to move at the best time for the waves.
In fact we were all destroyed by this funny day !

Better waves at mid-high tide at la Jenny. I spent 30+ min in the baïne current catching few left waves. I was very tired when I switch to another peak. The SuperFish works well ! Enjoy the girls on the beach :)

It was the first real swell of september: long and clean. The problem was that the sandbanks were not optimal... I just take some good ones but after 2 bottom turns, the wave was always closing out which was a little frustating....
Hopefully, I was surfing with a lot of friends: Loig, Chris, Gaby and also Jean-Charles (I haven't see it since 3 years !!)

I wake up early this morning. I knew that the waves were not sure to be there. Everything was ok: the weather was sunny, warm, the wind offshore. BUT there was no wave at all...
Only 50cm of perfect wave. I took several waves but it was only a take off and a ride without any moves.
