50cm the morning, 1.20 m in the afternoon !
Good banks,
a good right in the inside. Long turns and a grabrail.
Fun trick : at the return, cars were stucked into the private aprking of Leroy Merlin ! We had to pass on the flowers to get escaped... pretty fun at the end...

I expected a classic session with tibok and zitoune : solid swell, offshore as the week (and i didn't surfed). Carcans : solid waves, no banks. Hourtin : possible surf but impossible to go out. Montalivet : surfable but bad and waves were too small to be surfable at le Gurp.
So it was a lot of road for a desapointing session...

Wonderful waves : I was alone on my peak (a lot of close outs but some opened and it was good). 2 tubes ! Waves were around 1.5m sometimes 2m.
On the other peaks the locals were really angry and stupid with people. A shame.

I expected good conditions but I found only poor close outs when I arrived.I went to right. Then little by little, conditions improved themselves. I catched few hollow rights (grab and also :-) ). I came just 2 hours after the low tide and I got just for 30mn a really good A peak. After I came near the border and found a fun righthander shorebreak.

We went with Mitch to Capbreton - Le Santocha. It was ridiculously crowded. We got some close outs and Mitch some incredible clos out tubes. ON my last one, I took a good right and was pretty proud but I finished near the big blockaus and the nightmare began. The rip was taking you directly under the blockaus and I couldn't escape. I struggled for several minutes to avoid to be blocked uneder the blockaus.
Scary.
After we went to la Piste : the level in the water was just incredible. Long and massive tubes, 360 aerials !
But when I went at the lineup, I realized my level was not enough to surf in a good security here (you can recognize it when you ask yourself at the lineup : "how I can come back to the shore ?" I just came back and stopped the session?. Netherless, the show was incredible.

At the peak, it's impressive : massive ! I took 5 waves, my first was the best and the biggest. My 6'8" was too short, I should have take my 7'3". You need full commitment to take off. It was the most powerful waves I ever took.
2 ghost sets took me underwater : I recognize I was scaried.
I have passed the test and the spot is truly not for beginners.
I took 2 waves like this : ouch...

Haaa, still with Mitch and Olivier : we tried the Mascaret after an incredible storm.We stay on the left side but it was a mistake as the good start was at the opposite border. Nethermind, I catched the wave and YES surfed it for one kilometer. So much fun !
It was a "one wave session" ;-)

It was the first day of good surfing since a long time. 1.20m - 1,5 m, not prfect as it was multipeak and the sandbanks have moved but the waves were powerful. A lot of them closed out but sometimes, it was more than good !
I remenber my very first wave (good left) then at the end of the session : 2 big left tubes !!! and a good grab on my last waves, a right.

The swell was not perfect but they were enough waves to have good time. it was multipeak, with short waves but hollow ones.
I have done a tube, and also a small funny aerial. A good session with a good atmosphere even they were a lot of surfers.

Los locos is a very good spot with a strong localism. I kept a low profile and got those famous waves : hollow right or left, short but intense.
I came here 10 years before with no surfboard ! So this was my revenge. The place is just beautiful and the waves juste good. The wave doesn't support more than 5-6 surfers...
