Description:
I rode one good wave today, and it was pretty funny... because as i was on it. I saw my wife trying to paddle out and the wave that i was on ate her up, but right before it did, i gave her a rock on sign with my hand. but after that the next wave i ate it and it wasn't that bad of a spill it's just the board came up and hit me in the tricept so hard, i couldn't move it afterward. I felt like i had broke it... luckily the waves were powerful enough that i didn't have trouble catching some white wash prone without paddling to shore. Directley after, my wife took me to ER to see if my arm was truley broken. Turns out the muscle was just damaged and i should be surfing again in about a week or so.

Description:
El Porto is fuckin awesome. It's most def. my new favorite spot. Mad props to NBC, the dude who recommended the spot and obviously knows his shit...
I loved it. It started off mellow, i got there just around low tide. But it got pretty gnarly as the day wore on. By dusk, it was shoulder, to head high, then as the sun slipped into the ocean, there were a few overhead sets coming in. After a good four hours straight, I was pretty exhausted at that point, so i just watched people and really studied their take-offs, watched for little nuances when they made the drop and tried to absorb as much as I could. The only prob was, these guys were so good, that they took off with this effortless grace, and ripped that shit up!!!
It was amazing watching these dudes, made me realize how much everyone sucks at the lame spots I frequent, or used to that is...El Porto is the shit, my new spot for sure. i liked the vibe, the waves were just scary enough to force me to step it up a notch, you know push myself outa my comfort zone. With time I think I could really progress there...which I sure as hell intend to do.
Watching those dudes rip and shred the waves with such effotless grace, made me remeber how bad I want to do that someday. Sufing just about every other day has earned me my paddling arms, and I'm gonna start taking my shortie out, and start practicing on that one too. I can paddle just fine, but the pop up is a whole other story. I find that getting through tthe white water is sooo much easier though, on the 6 footer, that it does have its appeal. Anyhow, thats all...
To be Continued...

Description:
It was on december, in this beach the wave brakes a lot into the sea, so you have to paddle a lot to get to the point.
Once i got to the point the waves were like 8ft to 1ofts perfect conditions. in the firts wave I rode, my brother yelled me from the inside not to go, cause it was a 10 feets peak. I didnt listen to him and I rode the whole wave, form the peak to the shore.
Most of the waves were rigths, but you can also ride lefts. The rigths were longer thna the lefts.
It was very funny and full of adrenaline tooo, cause you had a confortable take off, an easy bottom turn and a complete wall to bust whatever you want and never close out.

I lived in walking distance from the Flume, and with no car, this was the local for a few years.
Surf it in the winter months to get the ground swells, and wait for the new moon cycle, as the area has no wind for three to four days strait!
Take your 4mill steamer.
Oh, and the locals seem to not care for the early morning sessions, so getting the line up to your self is easy.
If the swells up (head height plus.......Not uncommon!) paddle strait out the center, as there's a trough that flows the in coming waters strait out the back.

Had a session at Smiths Reef this morning.
Weird as we paddled out to the reef after 8 and it wasn't breaking, so paddled overto beachbreak and hooked into some filth RH barrels.
Then reef just started breaking, some swell surege that happened in just 5 or so minutes. Couple of rights and some wally lefts, good fun.

Well, I'm just a beginner so I never really rode any waves. Just caught some whitewater. I went out with my friend Heather. Were both beginners, but shes not scared of the waves like I am. Im trying to accomplish a full pop up with out using my knees.
I really bruised up my knee too. Next time, hopefully, Ill do full pop ups!

It was a Fun day of waves at Hornsea, no more than 2 foot but better than it looked, noone in, the current was too strong tho, so I was paddling non stop, and everytime I got a wave had to go out and walk back through the beach. The waves are fun, not too long and depends a lot of the sandbars, was the first time I surfed my local beach even tho I've been living here for more than 2 years now but working most of the time in North Devon so didnt have the chance before and winter is too cold!, now looking forward for a bit more size and better wind conditions, luckily is auturn and the swells should start to kick in!

Hands down the most perfect small waves I have ever seen in Australia were on this day. A complete fluke, somehow the water from the river was causing the dismal 1 foot swell to jack up to 3ft and peel like liquid glass. I must have checked Guildo a hundred times since then and I still haven't seen another decent day, let alone waves that perfect.

Description:
It was nice to drop my daughter off to school and see Jocko's breaking, because it was completely flat last night. I always keep my boards in the van, so I parked at Jock's house and paddle out. It was six foot and glassy with the occasional 8 footer every so often. It was pretty crowded, but the current was going the opposite direction, and with the big Norfolk Pine cut down (that everyone used to use for a line up), I had pretty much any wave I wanted because no one was ever in the right place besides a couple of friends, and I.
I guess it's time to get to work now. See ya.
