Saturday morning at El Porto was super fun and a little crowded. I still got tons of waves. There was a left at Rosecrans it was mushy on the take off, so you can a couple of turns and then wave just through on the inside shorebreak. There were alot of makeable barrels, but most were not. It was a good time.

Description:
This was the first time I'd surfed in about ten years. Having been a skater and a snow boarder, I don't have trouble getting vertical, but it took me a few rounds before I was able to control things comfortably.
After about two hours, the waves were ridiculous. The frequency was so short that I was still trying to get over the last before the next hit. I got past the breaks after much effort, watched things a bit, then took my time until I got a decent wave that took me most of the way back in, then started the whole thing over again.
Coming back into surfing here is probably not the best scenario, but it was a beautiful day and a nice beach, even though the crowd was heavy.

short and sweet...
it was crowded, but there were waves for everyone. used my brand new cell wetsuit and loved it. waves were mostly chest high faces with sets pushing a couple feet overhead. only caught one wave, but it was beautiful and fast. pretty sure i got about 100 gallons dumped on me by pat o'connel. maybe it was his twin, but he throws buckets. great afternoon.

What a session ! the waves were just perfect: a peaky bowl was rising always at the same place then you could surf a fun wall. We were not too many on the peak (only 5 on the left). I scored really good turns ! the wava was not so tubular and it was hard to get some barrel.
The year 2010 will be a good one !

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! Christmas Day dawned bright and sunny but chilly. Air temp at 8 AM was 42F water temp 54 F not cold to some but after a couple of hours I was so stiff could hardly turn. Surf was waist to chest with occasional head high sets and a light Santa Ana offshore. Kind of walled with a combo of Harvey Wallbanger pier bowls and some Sucide rights into the breakwall.

Description:
Got some perfect weather for Christmas morning... sun! Still a bit chilly with the 3/2... Sardi was small but clean, nice and peaky with some decent shoulders to be had. Took one left that just barely cleared the rocks at the beginning of Primera.

Description:
Really clean stuff, fun and fast with several take off peaks. Very light and mellow crowd. It was 3 to 6, just a little inconsistant until the tide dropped. That day was just clean and fun, very easy to rip a huge bottom turn and then blast off the top. Down the line long waves. The wind never came up all day. I sent in some pix for everybody to enjoy.

Impresionante offshore todo el dia... bueno la llegada Pobre carrito 
bueno llegamos 
unos pocos surfistas mas que todo extrangelos, el agua muy clara olas pequeñas y divertidas, izquierdas y derechas sufee de 6 a 9 , luego el desayuno y luego surfear de 10 a 2, luego el almuerzo y surfear de 3 a 5 jejeje en diferentes puntos, los locales muy amigables, quizas por ser de paices vecinos!!! 
Fue una de mis mejors sesiones, muy relax inolvidable!!!!
