Description:
Whooo... I was waiting for this wave since several years as I am not living in Normandie. And here it is! I was coming back here just for few days. Good surprise: in middle of nowhere, in a land of powerless waves, this wave is a serious reefbreak ! Hollow and fast, on big days it's better for bodyboarders than surfers. If you take-off, then it's a long fun wall. As the landscape is incredible, it will be a good memories.
Good wall and a very technical wave

Description:
A pretty windy day on the North Devon coast but shelter found close to the cliffs at Putts. Conditions were pretty big but nothing really to write home about. A welcome break from the usual crowded line up provided me with a very enjoyable session.

Surfed South peak with Marc all to ourselves with about 12 other people clustered @ Middles. Although slightly less consistent where we were sitting, it paid off once the tide started filling in off the dead low of 0.49 from 5:38 a.m. I definitely scored some racetrack lefts perfect for cutties and whack-em's before the tide and "Dudediego" filed into the lineup come 7ish. Marc had a few fun rights I belive as well. All in all, a fun session!

Description:
Bud Bud was big and not tender... with a very high tide coefficient, the waves were irregular and not as hollow as usual. take off was critical and the shoulder looked biiiiiiig from the inside but it was hard to catch. and with cold water, which means numb body, i only managed to ride a few waves, i couldn't get a move done with the MS5.
Still can't complain...

First and only session at Gas Chambers. I was told this place doesn't break consistantly and I'm not sure because it was good the only time I went there. The only problems are the rude Puerto Rican body boarders. They display no courtesy or etiquitte in the lineup. They will take off on you and purposly cause the wave to section off if possible. I'm sure they'll be happy to hear this, but I probably won't be going back because of the spongers rudeness in the lineup.
Had fun though and my coach Josh Wilson caught a few good ones.

Haaaa, It's not my best session but I wanted so much to go to surf after 15 days without any session than it was nearly heaven!
The waves were mushy and there was a lot of current. But I caught around 10 waves, pretty long even they were not very hollow

soem waves were good some were just plain close outs but it was biggest swell ive seen at secerets(surf beach)but all in all awseom day out in the water started picking up again around lunch tiem but lost its shape...we had a photographer but he got lost in the swell..*laughs*so no pics from this trip..but the only downer was that it was packed..like really really packed..8/10

This was my first trip to Playa Norte. I was a bit of a beginner, but was looking for some larger waves than some of those found on Costa Verde. I had trouble catching small waves in Costa Verde, but when I got to Playa Norte, I was catching them with ease and loving it.
There's a lot of rocks on both the north and south sides. This day there was no one on the south side. But a good 10-15 people on the north side. The shore break for bodyboarding was pretty decent (sand in the middle, but a few semi-hidden rocks on the sides), but the better waves were north a little more near the rocks and breaking right.
The arena is pretty private and quiet. The beach area is small and the local residents/renters use a lot of the space w/ their umbrellas and such. No food or services available other than a guy walking around selling ice cream. Beach is sand wish scattered large rocks. Nicely developed area though with a boardwalk type area (cement) and a number of apartments overlooking the beach.
CasaBarco hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the beach and was really great. Shower in the entrance to clean sand off of yourself and board. Food is so-so, but good for the arena.
There were quite a few Brazillian surfers and some other international visitors. The people were really nice and the area seemed very safe. I parked my car on the street outside the hotel for a week w/ no problems.
Anyhow, this day was fantastic for me, the best of the summer. I did end up with a small cut on my foot and leg from the shells on the rocks. Very superficial though. I saw a couple Brazillian guys with some much bigger cuts on their feet. Booties recommended due to this.

Very windy day - with this generating some small wind-chop waves. Kitesurfers were having a blast a bit further up the beach. The wind did not let up all day, and was howling in from the SW. Surfing just behind the marina gave a little shelter from the wind. Should be better tomorrow if the swell holds.

This session was a perfect closing for this Summer of considerably good waves... It had been good all day, but all of a sudden when the watch showed 6pm, the wind disappeared, and what we saw was the glassiest, most beautiful waves ever to break at Imbé. And how powerful they were, despite only 2,5 to 3 feet!
My pals Jonatas, Fabrício and I had a memorable session of snaps, aerials (Jonatas), full railed roundhouses and even tubes. ECSTATIC, ECSTATIC, THAT'S HOW WE FELT. INCREDIBLE.
WHEN YOUR HOME BEACH BREAKS CLASSIC, THERE IS NO WAY TO EXPLAIN THE FEELING... BUT YOU KNOW IT, YOU KNOW IT...

feb 10 2007 Not thats great the wind made it hard to ride once standing. was really choppy and not that great of a day. the shore break for to the left was very good nice and smooth. Its seems like a better spot to surf if its breaking and sorter paddle too.
