Description:
As we arrived at Evans Head I suddenly felt like I have been here before.
At second view, I found many things - landscape, harbour jetty, wave direction - similar to my favorite break at Anglet/Les Cavaliers!
Matching to this impressions weather and wave quality was top so it was the best day of the trip so far. We met a couple of locals from our age so it was a long talk after a long session.

Description:
Great fucking surf around Barcelona at the end of the year. If you are lucky you will find some excelent beginner waves. and for the more andvanced surfers huge waves during storm are also to find. Sand bottom and a lot of sunshine.

From Bribie Island we went along the Gold Coast to Surfers Hell. As we saw the skyline it was clear not to waste too much time with overdeveloped cities. Also the weather went even worse so it was no good idea to paddle out at any spot around town. We found better conditions at Fingal Head but it was not worth a long disquision.

Description:
Bribie Island may be not that good idea on this saturday afternoon. Bumpy wind and a very small swell made it totally nonsense to unpack the board and walk the 500m from the campground to the beach. As chargeback we found great company at the camp kitchen. A real Ozzy BBQ with over 10 families and we in the middle of it - unforgettable!

Saturday morning a bit more swell came from south-east, so the reef worked pretty well. I brought Marianne to the entrance of the Austarlian Zoo and went back to Caloundra to catch some waves. Many boards outside, almost young kids. No localism, they've just been better than me. After picking up my better half at the Zoo we drove to Bribie Island through the Glasshouse Mnts. Great Landscape!

I started to go to Le Porge. Even if the waves were beautiful to see (photos below) because of the fog, they were unsurfable. Since 2 monthes, there is still no sandbanks.I stayed to see waves during half an hour. Then I have decided to drive to the north at Le Pin sec.
And it was a good decision...
I get 1.2m to more than 1.5m perfect and tubular waves. They were not to fast so it was easy to take them, slow down and have a lot of fun! It was such a pleasure to take waves that seem to close out but stayed opened all the run.
Surprisingly, I stayed alone in the water at this perfect peak. A really good session

No way to get a wave at Fraser this day. The whole coastline was a misty curtain and the closeouts breaking 500m out told me: stay out! So we went inside the rain forest and viewed around the beauty of nature. Overnighting at Fraser was not planned 'cause we had to leave our camper back on the mainland. So we went back to Inskip Point with the last barque.

Only small windswell coming from E/NE, so Fraser Island was blocking most of the power. Waves rolling to the beach at 45° Angle providing strange conditions. Tide was strong so it was rather a paddle competition than a surf session. However - I got wet!

shelly beach was blown out.swell finaly around but unfortunatly so is the wind.its been a long time since ive seen so many bluebottles.checked shallows no go, tide to low and wind over powering any waves.next few days have good chance of some sweet waves if out early before the wind.

It's a sunday and lots of weekend visitors fill the beach and the water.
The beach guard closed the only surfable jetty for surfers due to lots of bathers.
Close to sundown they all went out and there was a little time to ride the small waves.
As it looks like the swell gets poorer day by day I cancelled desicions to go further north to Agnes Water, instead it's now back down south to Sunshine Coast. But before we go a one day "without surf" break is made to visit the turtle center of Mon Repos.

Description:
Went to the OB jetty this morning after checking out the cliffs. There was a little to much tide for the cliffs. Checked the pier it was okay, but when I got to the jetty I saw only 2 people out and it looked fun. Paddled out and one guy went in so just 2 of us out and the other guy was surfing way inside. So basically I had the jetty all to myself for about 30min till some other guys paddled out. It was great. Couple of nice long peelers and then back to my spot for the next one with no worries of other people. And even when other people showed up it was a pretty mellow crowd, no one person trying to hog all the waves. Great way to start off a Sunday.

Showed up just before 7 surfed look fun, paddled out and it slowed way down. There was a lot of people out and the sets were olny coming in every 10-15min and most of them were one wave sets. The waves I did catch were fun swami's peelers but the wave count was way down due to the inconsistent surf.

Yo , it has been my first day surfing in Aussie , with my new 6.6 fish by Maliboo , they shape in Manly!
The board is really nice , I had a great feeling from the first moment , anyway...I'm not here to make advertising...The wave yesterday was pretty small but very very funny , even if 3-4 ft was the best it could reach , we were just 4 guys in the water , on the lil reef bay at the right of the Tama Beach.
Wish to surf something bigger in next days , anyway it worths the short walk from Bondi to get in this beautiful place , just pay attention to the orcks when you get in , the bottom is near but covered from a lil of sand!
Enjoy the place and contact me if in the next days you'll be there or in maroubra or in manly!I will reach The Wedge , near Newcastle , on the 8th of the month!
