I saw a good swell early on the morning, and drove to the merimbula bar, i was looking there at about 7:00am, 40 or so guys out, which put out of contention, merimbula main was big, nasty and generally pretty unsurfable looking, upset by the short drives lack of luck we drove back to pambula to find that the swell had picked up and lookied clean, fast and hollow. i paddled out as quick as possible and found a bank to myself, i caught a few closeouts, but still ha enough time to do a small quick carve or hit the lip as it was closing out (it was 2-3ft at this stage), i paddled to a new bank when josh paddled out, my first few waves closed out to quickly and throwing me over the falls. i got my confidence up and paddled for one of the bigger waves of the morning, as i took my bottom turn i saw an opening section, i tucked myself in and saw the lip throw itself over me, i sat for a second or so before i tried to pump my way out (unsuccesfully) and ended up copping the section on my head, throwing me off my board, that day me and josh got countless fun closeouts, and even a few peelers, we had the bank to ourselves till around 9:00 when the rest of the crew paddled out.

The month of December was good for Blackies. Either Blackies or 28th was breaking niiiice. I normally surf HB in the winter but if Blackies breaks like this often, I'll be here more often. Only problem is it gets ULTRA packed after 7:30am. PACKED.

Description:
Was a good session in the river mouth. 2-3foot some closed out but others really clean and hollow. Bit of a shore dump though so getting back out was a bit awkward sometimes. Nice steep takeoffs but wind was too strong.

Had a great sesh out of Nrth Steyne and Queensie. Started with my cousin (whos a kook) and then paddle up to queensie to a nice left.
A nice alley oop was thrown after a massive snap on a great left which everyone let go at the end, which made me a happy camper!!
Pretty crowded, was gonna go to Dee why, but theres was a contest and more crowds there!!

Description:
Had a great sesh out at curly, was 3-4' and pretty perfect!! Had about 3 good rides, 2 rights and a left, pulling a few airs and snaps and the odd reo.
Ended the sesh badly, going right on a shorey, and just after i got to the bottom of the wave, i hit this massive (2-3') backwash wave, pulled a 180 with a grab on my heel rail nearly perfecty. Just twisted my knee on landing and lay in the water laughing at myself until the pain kicked in.
A limp back to the car and the out to the Cross to see my borthers gig and cruise a couple bars with my mates.

My Comments:haaaa - after 3 big winter swells sessions, I had good small waves to ride. It was funny and I was alone on the peak
Session Highlight: a small tube on the left.
Comment on Swell, Waves and Wind: not very powerful but there was enough to catch a lot of waves
