Description:
Came back to Leo and brought my 7'9" fun board this time. Caught alot more waves, and it was breaking outside the rock so it was challenging being the only goofyfooter sitting the deepest on the point. I actually bailed just to the right of the rock, and thought my board crashed into it, but somehow it survived, and I kept surfing. The KELP is ridiculous but it makes for a smaller crowd, and causes all the shortboarders to sit on the inside of the kelp. Fun session, but could've been epic with no kelp.

| Surfed "Tar Pits" up by the Ranch with a heavy kelp patch a few years ago. Riding a 9' long board with an 8" single fin ... you would hit a clump, come to a dead stop and go ass over heels. Now riding a 7'2" Super Fish with 2 out board 5" fins should be no problem. Secos only has only one real sweet take off spot so I prefer the Boo, crowds and all. Had it going off the last big south ... OH and pumping. |
