Description:
Finally it looks like the jellyfish are clearing out. This time I only saw 2 near the jetty and 1 while I was in the water. Much better than the last few days where I've been checking and seeing 20-40 jellyfish each time. Maybe they are finally gone...
Anyhow, the sun was strong today and ow it burnt! The sand burnt, the cement on the jetty burnt, the rocks at the end of the jetty burnt! I couldn't get into the water fast enough (was wearing a full wet suit to avoid jelly stings). And when I hit the water, it was warm too! I was hoping for some relief in the cool water we've had this year, but it was almost low tide and the water was the hottest it's been all year!
The water was beautiful blue/green and very clear! It was a beautiful day and there were a lot of waves. But there were also a good 6-8 people on the same wave. Not overly crowded but kind of a pain when little kids keep charging every wave and calling everyone off.
