Re:Marocco to Senegal - 2007/09/02 00:56 Hi everyone, I am looking to go surfing in African to get into the lifestyle of african and get some good wave. I've only been surfing in central and south america. My vacation are in december and senegal seems ok for waves, whats about morroco? But see that water is freezing compare to central america, do we really need along wetsuits? or just some rash? whats your comments?

Re:Marocco to Senegal crossing Mauritania - 2007/09/02 22:27 Hey!!

I lived in Mauritania for 5 month. It's easy to cross the country from sénégal to western sahara using public transportation. You just have to follow the coast line using "taxi brousse" :
Dakar->StLouis : 15Euros
St Louis ->Nouakchott : 10 Euros
Nouakchott-> Nouadhibou : 10 Euros +
Nouadhibou-> western sahara->agadir (morroco) : I now you can find public transportation but I don't know the price. Anyway you can get a ride with a food or goodies trucks doing some round trip from morroco to Mauritania.

There is no surf in Mauritania but surf is awesome near Dakar and south morroco. Western sahara is said to have some nice spots. Maybe few spots exist in north mauritania, if you find one, please tell me!!

Enjoy!!!
