Re:el salvador - 2007/08/20 13:35Hi Alexandra. If you want a surf trip in Central America, El Salvador is the place. Eight good surf breaks all within 30 mins of each other. Rarely flat. Great roads. Lots of levels of accomodation and all within an hour of the airport. The "crime" is way over rated and the people are friendly and hard working. A guide like Mario (www.puntasperfectas.com)is a must for a first visit at least. This place is gonna boom very soon. Get it now! See you there!

Re:el salvador - 2007/10/11 07:05Hi Alex, Oct/Nov are great surf months here, you won't find it too big 5-8 and have options to surf since you're a begginer. You could stay at Playa El Tunco which has lots of surf camps and a great atmosphere, you'll find lots of foreigns there too. Good begginers waves and the crowd factor is low, only on weekends you'll see the spot with about 30 people max. Check out www.surfestravel.com they've got plenty of good info there. Peace
Sergio
