Re:Guatemala - 2007/12/04 03:10Hi,
I live in El Salvador. Right next to Guate. Guate is great for everything else but surfing. Mainly beachbreaks. I know the waves get to be pretty big on specific swells. I've never gone surfing to Guatemala, cause we have many+much better waves here in El Salvador. Let me know whats up.

Re:Guatemala - 2007/12/05 21:32Okay,
Thanks for your advice! I heard it can be sometimes dangerous in El Salvador, I'm an 18-year old girl....?

Re:Guatemala - 2007/12/05 23:49Well, it's relative... I mean San Diego has places were its dangerous, Guatemala as well. We have a dirty reputation thanks to a civil war we had, that actually ended in '89. 18 yrs ago... If security is a top priority i suggest you go to Nicaragua.
PLenty of places tu surf; cheaper and better waves than guatemala. If you need more tips let me know. I'm always on line,
Marcos

Re:Guatemala - 2007/12/26 06:51Hi some friends of mine were to Guatemala years ago, they liked it (sandy bottom, easy waves, no crowding) but I think in that period (summer) you can find cheaper solutions in europe, without crossing the ocean...

Re:Guatemala - 2008/01/01 00:05Yeah, I know that there are cheaper solutions, but I'm also going for school to Guatemala. We're going to learn spanish there . But thanks for your message!
I think I'm going first to Guatemala, then Nicaragua and maybe Costa Rica. I'm not sure about Costa Rica, I don't like big crowds in the water.
