anyone in Hong Kong? - 2009/08/04 19:48had my 1st session in Bali last month and I'm totally addicted to it. wanna keep on surfing back in HK. since I don't have my own board, Tai Long Wan in HK Island and Cheung Sha Beach are probably the only spots I could go to.
anyone goes there regularly?

Re:anyone in Hong Kong? - 2009/08/13 22:57Hello Suga,
You will find local surfers by going to Big Wave Bay "the Blue Room" bar (not in Sai Kung !). Otherwise, two options : Facebook > Sixrounds or http://groups.google.fr/group/110east

Re:anyone in Hong Kong? - 2009/08/14 22:24Hi Suga, I did the oppposite, got hooked surfing in hong kong a couple of years ago, and then went to Bali for 2 weeks..the first week was crazy for a beginner the surf was waaaay to big even just in Kuta, then the 2nd week it eased off a bit.
Problem is now there is no waves in HK !!! have to wait until October or later...or the odd Typhoon.
I've got a spare board once the waves pick up, I could bring it along and you'd be welcome to use it as none of my friends are into surfing.
Normally I go to Big wave bay as Yannick mentioned its the most common place but sometimes a bit too crowded.
Are you into wakeboarding or windwsurfing - both are also very popular here?
A.

Re:anyone in Hong Kong? - 2009/08/17 21:56hi Yannick,
thanks for your info. I've joined Sixrounds in Facebook. where is the Blue Room Bar? I've been to Big Wave Bay quite a lot of times but didn't notice there was a bar there.
hi Scraggy,
yea I surfed Kuta too. got wiped out all the time but it was fun. I tried some typhoon waves at Lantau Island too but it was way too dangerous for me as a beginner.
maybe what I could only do is to get a wetsuit, and wait until Oct when the waves come.
I'm into wakeboarding too. just that it's not easy to get enough people to share a boat. it's relatively more expensive than surfing.

i've got holidays coming up this week and theres typhoon, so i really wanna go surfffffff!!
