PLEASE HELP: Surfing in Malaysia/Thailand - 2008/07/23 17:19hey together, anybody who can give me some informations about good spots in malaysia or thailand?
"good" means for me: - no strong current - makable for a surfer (me) who is just on the jump from his minimal/funborad (7.4) to a smaller one; surfing since 4 years, just a few weeks per year - bonus: sandy buttom instead of sharp reef
any info would be cool. also if you know some oher places in this "edge of the world" where it sound sgood for me...
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
greetz stefan

Re:PLEASE HELP: Surfing in Malaysia/Thailand - 2008/12/14 18:27Go to tioman island or the pereinthian islands in malaysia. Should be good around now. They get really good swell and only kind locals in the water. Nice and clear as well, and really good diving if your in to that! Check out: http://traveltiomanisland.wetpaint.com/page/Photo+Gallery+-+Surfing+Tioman?t=anon for pics. Really, really good food also on tioman! I,ve put the spot upp on the map over malaysia =)
