Re:Australia - 2008/04/08 09:20Torquay is the way to go.. it is situated on the "Surf coast" after all! its a pretty easy drive too, freeway all the way to geelong and then probably only another 15-20min depending on traffic.. the whole coast down there is pretty awesome, a wide variety of breaks means unless its dead flat youll find waves somewhere from 13th beach to lorne..

Re:Australia - 2008/07/02 15:07torquay west coast is about 1.30 from the city. There are lots of waves to be ridden around there from 13th to lorne. I surf down at phillip island mostly its about 1.45 - 2 hours from the city (might be shorter mow with new freeway) You can always get a wave on the island. Just checkout www.swellnet.com.au
