Re:surf spot in september - 2008/03/26 00:35I have never been to Mexico, but Indo is really good... September is the end of Peak season... you will find hundreds of Islands (some are really remote...) all of them offering lots of world class waves !
If you decide to come to Europe in September, my bet would be Portugal for the following reasons:
1. We get exactly the same waves as Spain & France 2. The weather is much better over here 3. No WCT events (less crowds) 4. Excelent food & cheap life (compared to other EU countries). 5. Lots of Nightlife & parties 6. Portuguese people are known to be very wellcoming & friendly
If you need any additional information about Indonesia or Portugal, just send me an Email...
Cheers !

Re:surf spot in september - 2008/03/26 04:59In september You may stay at home (France). It's one of the best months there - just as Yann wrote. Go to foreign countries during wintermonths from November to March. Most tropical destinations are not recommendable from August to October (hurricane + rainy season).

Re:surf spot in september - 2008/03/26 12:23September can be decent in North Carolina depending on the hurricanes.

Re:surf spot in september - 2008/04/02 18:23Hey buddy,
Surfcastle is right, Portugal is normally great in September. There is no need to travel further afield. October can be even better as the swells get bigger and summer costs disappear (i.e. dirt cheap airfares and hire cars).
