I am planning my first real surf trip with friends. Must travel in February and must be in Central America or caribbean due to price. Looking for a nice chill place with consistent surf and little if any crowds (aren't we all?)

Click here to see the profile of this user 		Re:February Surf - 2007/02/02 10:06 Barbados is good, I think I got lucky last february, but its location makes it a good caribbean candidate for best swell. The downside is it ain't cheap but the rum punches are aways good and atmosphere pretty mellow.

Visited Cape Town, wine regions, garden route and stayed 3 nights in Cape St Francis. Surf was good, scored a beautiful mellow point break at head high, warm water.

The food and wine are superb and by British standards a very affordable country in which to holiday. I would recommend SA to anyone, not just surfers.
