February Surf - 2007/01/04 04:35Hey all. First time here and I have a question you may be able to help me with. I am planning my first real surf trip with friends. Must travel in February and must be in Central America or caribbean due to price. Looking for a nice chill place with consistent surf and little if any crowds (aren't we all?) Thanks in advance for you input

Re:February Surf - 2007/02/02 10:06Barbados is good, I think I got lucky last february, but its location makes it a good caribbean candidate for best swell. The downside is it ain't cheap but the rum punches are aways good and atmosphere pretty mellow.

Re:February Surf - 2007/02/13 22:36Just got back from South Africa. What a great country. Visited Cape Town, wine regions, garden route and stayed 3 nights in Cape St Francis. Surf was good, scored a beautiful mellow point break at head high, warm water.
The food and wine are superb and by British standards a very affordable country in which to holiday. I would recommend SA to anyone, not just surfers.
