Teneriffa Spots - 2011/08/08 19:25 can anybody recommend me an good (sandy) spot for beginners in tenerife? i go there in october... i`ve surfed there in playa americas already.. but somedays there is too high for me and i hate these rocks!!!

also i`ve surfed in el medano but inthis time i have been it was too flat...
more for windsurfers.. i never been at the north! but next time i will go there..
if anybody could give me tips i will be happy

Re:Teneriffa Spots - 2011/08/15 19:49 The only sandbottom spots with less rocks I know on Tenerife is Playa Jardín(Puerto de la Cruz) and El Medano. Bad news is, these spots are very crowded, so a beginner might find it difficult to get a takeoff.
Playa Jardin is more consistent and less wind compared to El Medano. I recommend an accomodation at Puerto de la Cruz area if You don't want to take a 1-2h drive from the south.
