After having had an awesome surf trip to Morocco last fall, I am thinking about checking out Portugal for the first time. So I have the following two questions... - What are the best spots for intermediate surfers on the portuguese cost at the end of Sept / beginning of Oct? - How crowded are the beaches these times in Portugal? Similar to France or less (what I hope)? In Morocco, most of the time we had the waves for our own, which was quite excellent...Wink
Thanx a lot for your help! Cheers Pat

Re:Portugal: spots intermediate surfers/crowd sept/oc - 2010/06/16 04:02Hi there! I've been in both countries... regarding crowd, Portugal is something in between Morocco and France. I think October is a fantastic season. That's why the WCT goes to Peniche in the beginning of October! The best thing about Portugal is that there is a big variety of waves and breaks, so that you always get the kind of wave you want.
Cheers and have some good waves there! Paul
