Mediterrean Sea - 2010/04/16 18:20Hey guys! I´m planning on learning to surf =) A friend and I wanna go to the Mediterrean Sea (South-France) this summer. Can anyone recommend a surfschool there?
I'd appreciate your answers and help!
Take care Laura

Re:Mediterrean Sea - 2010/04/16 22:18I'll be amazed if you can find a surf school in the french med - and even more amazed if you find waves in summer - in winter maybe, and then only occasionally... but summer? Its almost always flat as a millpond.

Re:Mediterrean Sea - 2010/04/17 01:23Agree to Pisco23, Med has only surf during summer when thunderstorms occur, and those windwaves are far away from ridable conditions, even for experienced surfers. - no chance -

Re:Mediterrean Sea - 2010/05/25 22:17Yeah the two dudes are right about that med is not the best place to surf or to learn to surf, especially in the heavy conditions that accompany the in frequent waves there. I would suggest look to the south west of france and north spain or portugal in summer you will have a wide range of wave to start to progress on and with that a solid selection of surf schools at a good price.More importantly you willhave consistency and verity in you waves and dudes, surf schools, food, and you can surf in the sun rather than in some insane thunderstorm do check it out, you wont regret!
