I've been surfing North Shore of Oahu of and on for the last 18+ yrs. Hows the surf on Maui in comparison to Oahu. Is there a fair share of killer spots to hit up? Thanks in advance for the tips brothers!

Hookipa is outstanding if there is no wind. Down south, Makena (Big Beach) sometimes goes off but make sure you lock your car .

It looks like the the other island kind of block allot of swell. Is this true for the most part? Howz the local vibe in Maui?
