Re:BALI in DECEMBER?? - 2009/07/22 04:27The rainy season starts at this time in Bali and swell is not good, but you'd better to check with the local guys when come to Baly, cause they do know some places where you can find some not bad conditions for surfing. Anyway Bali is awesome at any time, you'll enjoy for sure.
good luck

Re:BALI in DECEMBER?? - 2009/07/22 05:29Hi Katya,
Thank you for your reply, I have been told that its the rainy season and if I really want sunshine and some good waves then might have to reschedule for another time.
My other option is to go to Hawaii !!?? HHhhmmmmm what to do?

Re:BALI in DECEMBER?? - 2009/07/23 04:09Then it's better to go to Hawaii. I've never been there but I know that the winter is the best season for surfing there and even there should be crowded at this time, you can find a plenty of spots with the different conditions.
cheers, mate

Re:BALI in DECEMBER?? - 2009/08/07 14:34There are good waves in December sometimes, but its very hit and miss. You may get decent conditions on eone side of the island for a few hours before a rainstorm or wind messes it up. If there is good surf It dosnt last usually. Nov,Dec, Jan are the least ideal months in Bali...but it all depends- you may get lucky. There are alot of people with boards in the water who dont know what they are doing in Bali now. These visitors make for dangerous surfing at historically more advanced surf spots Like Uluwatu, and others. be sure you are up to the challenges of surfing over sharp reef, with strong currents, and many advanced surfers who know how the spot works very well.
