has any one of you any eperiences in surfing in africa, especially in senegal?
i have a good connection to this land and think about getting cheap land over there. to live, but to surf, too.
i´ve seen some nicepictures, but a personal report would intense my pleasant anticipation....

Re:surfing senegal? - 2009/02/06 18:46Hi, I've lived there for 10 months. That's really a nice place to stay (locals are nice) and surf daily. The Almadies area is the place to go. Reef spots mainly (with urchins!). Best are Ouakam, Club Med and N'Gor but for very experienced surfers. Other spots such as Le Vivier, secret are good. Le Virage is for beginers. Re:surfing senegal? - 2009/03/10 23:52Hi Giuseppe, I took some drugs for Malaria during my stay in Senegal, but not heard about any problems. It is recommended during the rainy season. No sharks or stone fishes problems, only urchins I have practice snorkelling but never see any sharks. There are some sharks but apparently not dangerous. what about the waves theme selves? would consider'em shallow-dangerous like indo reefs or more mellow just like the morrocan point breaks?
i'm going to surf them all backside!!!
