Re:travelling in central america - 2009/01/27 19:57Hi there, I was in Panama I while ago and I totally recommend Oasis Surf Camp. It's own by an Italian family, very nice people and the mom is a terrific cook! It's located in Santa Catalina, and it has a nice beach break and a really good spot in front of a cliff (the view is great). To get to the point break you have to paddle for a while though. I didn't really like Costa Rica. There were too many people and the atmosphere was a little heavy, especially in Jaco Beach. I would recommend you to go to Santa Teresa (which is a little far) or Playa Grande (next to Tamarindo). Of course you need a 4x4, Costa Rican roads are terrible! Good luck! Mr. Honcho
