As for the idea of killing sharks that attacked humans, why shouldn't we kill all humans who kill others. I don't know where you live and if you have the death penalty where you live but around Europe its generally frowned up. Our murderers go to prison, so, you would think it would be relatively easy and sensible to make some sort of area in different sea's where "murdering" sharks are put, and left to swim around doing their thing, but away from people. Or, why don't we just have loads of these areas and just put any old sharks there. You will probably slaughter my ideas as you sound like a bit of a pro and im a mere 16 year old but its worth putting it out there. And i also disagree about us having more right to life than sharks. Although we are more complex and intelligent than sharks, and may get more pleasure from life, whatever, that does not mean we have more of a right to life. I suppose it depends on if you believe in God or not. Also I think the concept of the food chain is pretty primal for human beings in an age where you can have a perfectly healthy diet without eating dead animals, animals have feeling too. And the transportation of animals for meat contributes a lot to Global Warming.

Lots of good stuff about the guys in grey suits. Like how netting beaches reduces the chance of attack, but also how lots of sharks are found entangled in the nets (on the inside

Another bit of info - on the Durban beaches which had horrific rates of shark attacks prior to being netted - many attacks happened in really shallow (knee to thigh) water. right on the edge of the beach...

1. female surfer, 13, attacked by 5m white at 16:00 in Binalong Bay, Tasmania, leg injuries, surfing with two others, saved by male surfer(her cousin - hey that's Taz).
2. male surfer, 31, attacked by unknown shark at 09:30 in South Fingal, NSW, leg injuries, surfing with three others, large pod of dolphins nearby.
3. male swimmer, 28, attacked buy 3m bull at 11:00 in entrance to Lake Illawarra, NSW, leg injuries, swimming alone, punched shark.
three good reasons for all tourists to stay out of the water
