I got a pretty basic question for your consideration. What's the brand of surf wax that everyone uses / prefers? Chances are it's going to be vary depending on water temperature - but perhaps there's a company out there that's high class across the board? Sex Wax? Mrs. Palmers? Poor Boy? Sticky Bumps?

For water 56 degrees and below, I'm all about Sticky Bumps, and when the thermometer rises I give Sex Wax the nod.

The new rage is scented Day-Glow crayon Waxywax: www.waxywax.com. (I use Sex wax base coat, then orange Day-Glow ... looks cool and stays on.)

Click here to see the profile of this user 		Re:Wax Preference - 2008/09/30 22:44 just like DrC says, sex wax is as good as. some brands are a little better than others and there's some enviro friendly board wax products in the market - haven't tried any so can't comment. the wax brand and hardness which the local surf shop recommends for the time of year is usually a pretty reliable way to go. don't put too much on. if you surf near harbours and rivers, it will get scuzzy no matter what.
