All the surfable OZ east coast from Agnes Waters to Tasmania is safe unless You leave normal spots and do extreme things, Fraser Island e.g. is known for shark appearences, so it's not necessary to feed them. Tropical (north) part is no surf area so all the stingers, sharks and whatever maneating creatures may settle down there in god's name.
