Wave forcast - 2008/07/15 20:37Guys, i really need help. I can't find out a web site with long-term wave forcast. I need at least 1 month forward, but all web sites i've checked give 10 days maximum. Actually i want to see the forcast concerning Hossegore, France. If you have some ideas you are welcome.

Re:Wave forcast - 2008/07/15 22:22One month - impossible - maybe in the year 2525!
Oh, by the way, Hossegor will be 1-3ft. most days of the next 6 weeks - no forecast - only business as usual. Exceptions will proof the rule.

Re:Wave forcast - 2008/07/16 01:41Herwig,
Is the 1-3 ft. the face or the back of the wave?

Re:Wave forcast - 2008/07/16 05:38Sad thing is: It's the face, so from hawaiian point of view, it's equal to nothing. The naked truth is, that west european beaches get waves only 2-3 times per month in July+August when cyclones pass the north Atlantic and send swells down to the spots of north Spain and France. The good thing is: Less tourists drowning.

Re:Wave forcast - 2008/07/16 17:26September can be the 'best' month - as the water is warm the crowds start leaving and the autumn swells (can) start arriving... but it is of course quite variable from year to year... don't expect huge swell 1st Sept!
