Re:is boogie boarding surfing - 2007/12/04 01:18 Hey folks,
Anyone who gets a genuine kick out of riding a wave is a surfer to me. I think the best "surfers" are the ones who can do it any way possible; longboard, shortboard, bodyboard, fins and hand planes, etc.... Makes a more well rounded surfer. There are things you can learn on a bodyboard (about sections, speed, etc..) and vice versa that really go a long way to enhancing your understanding about the ocean.
REAL surfers can bodyboard. Ask Sunny Garcia. He started off on a sponge.
Have fun and don't worry about what you're doing.
It's all about the wave.

Re:is boogie boarding surfing - 2007/12/04 02:10 Guys please don't connect me to jerkmeat, she is just beating you with experience ( don't argue with a idiot, they will bring you to there level and beat you with experience )
I never said you are not a surfer if you boogie board I asked what you thought. My self, yeah I don't think it takes talent to lay on your stomach but there are boogie boarders who do a lot more then that, what I'm talking about are these people who don't have any respect or common sense ( and there is a lot of them were I surf) they lay there in side the break and when you take a 8 foot hollow wave and down the line there is about 6 to 10 guys laying there just looking at you with a blank look on there face, most of the guys take the wave a put them in danger of getting slashed by there fins, myself I don't because of that reason. I'm talking about respect and common sense ( witch is not that common) PS if these offends you please don't go to that level or below of jerkmeat. This is a discussion forum not a childish name calling forum.

Re:is boogie boarding surfing - 2007/12/04 02:39 Bodyboard rules and (of course) it has nothing to do with "surf"( :the way some of us mean it), since it seems that it's considered as a club of ppl with huge "ego".
We all love riding waves and its a pity that some ppl cannot enjoy that(instead they get irritated with the bodyboarders!is THIS ..surf spirit?? dissappointing...maybe when you grow elder u will re-evaluate some of your thoughts..

Like today I had fun surfing trying to miss the stupid body boarders how are inside bobbin around like bobble heads, is there any reason why some of you ding bats can't go out to the break instead of sitting inside like a target, and I had fun reading this blog to see real stupidity at work.
PS I'm not talking about kutterdad he seems to be the only real Man on this blog
