Waterproof bandages - 2007/12/03 13:43OK, so I'm coming up on what will hopefully be a solid summer of surfing w/o injuries, cuts, urchins, etc. But being realistic, I'm wanting to plan for some minor cuts and scratches by being prepared for them. I don't want to wait for days while they heal or something. I'd just like to stick on some waterproof type bandage and let it heal while I am still able to be in the water.
I went around Lima a couple weeks ago visiting surf shops, scuba shops, etc. The answer was the same at every place, "Those do not exist in Peru, just use tape". Some suggested duct tape, others a type of electrical tape...
First question, does anyone have experiences to share with the use of different tapes and suggestions in this area?
Second question, if I was to get a buddy to bring down some bandages from the US, what brands, types, etc are recommended?
