Re:What wetsuits you wear - 2007/11/24 23:47 Agree with you Mac, but to keep on rocking good condition you need good equipment. thank's for your post to let us know what you wear. Seems at this point that Oneill Psycho is the most popular one...
cheers all

Re:What wetsuits you wear - 2007/11/25 00:10 Surfing in the North Sea (UK) in winter's pretty cold - c-skins (UK company) make awesome, really light flexible suits. Avoid Billabong totally unless you're just buying a hoody - I had a "solution gold 6/4" for 1 winter season and it was the stiffest, most uncomfortable suit I've ever worn, until it fell to bits after 1 season!!!

Re:What wetsuits you wear - 2007/12/04 19:38 Thank huie i live in warmer waters but it gets down to 10 celcius here. Im pretty tall and slimmer and tried all the brands and styles of wetsuits out and found that they seem to be made for different body shapes... thats why I selected the suits I had cause they fitted the best, im sure there is a general equivalence amongst the brands to the mm thickness to warmth ratio.
For winter I have an 'aleeda' 3mm steamer ( its super flexible)with an fcs inner system long sleeve rashie, when its warmer but still cool to say 16" I use a 'peak' 3 mm short sleeve spring suit. I got an ocean earth shirt i think its 2mm for late spring. Summer your looking for sun protection here.

Re:What wetsuits you wear - 2007/12/06 14:04 I know that most people don't wear a suit in Hawaii, but when the temp drops I like to use an X-Cell ultraflex 1/.5 long sleeve top. It just makes the session longer and the Jellyfish off.

Re:What wetsuits you wear - 2008/01/03 06:35 when i was surfing west coast, south island, new zealand water temp would get down to 12 celsius or lower in the winter and i wore my excel 4/3 steamer that i bought 2 years ago and excel booties. these would keep me warm but i was still cold and sometimes freezing when i got out after 1 - 2 hours in the water. that wetty has a pull over neck zip and have had trouble with ripping of the underpart around front of neck but apparently the newer ones are stronger and dont rip at all. great wetty, warm, fitting and flexy.
