Re:suggest surfing colleges in australia - 2007/08/17 21:57 Sydney and Perth are right on top of surf spots, so take your pick of unis there... Brisbane & Melbourne are within 1-2 hrs of top surf spots while Deakin Uni in geelong, Victoria is under 1/2 an hour from the surf coast, bells beach and the great ocean road... heaps of options!

Re:suggest surfing colleges in australia - 2007/08/20 15:30 Gold Coast is 70km south of Brisbane has its own university ... Bond University, Griffith University (Gold Coast Campus) and TAFE (Similar to a Technical College)

Sunshine Coast is 100km north of Brisbane has its own university ... Sunshine Coast University and TAFE too.

Since you are obviously not worried about academic achievement ... Hey ... neither do I. Any of these joints would be fine. TAFE is cheaper but does not offer Degrees only Diplomas.

If you don't know Ingleesh (english) like me. You can go to english school which is cheaper, has more free time and if you are lucky you get a few hot Norwegian ladies(or man) to mooch up too.

Gold coast has more surfable spots than Sunshine Coast but the Sunshine Coast spots has nicer waves and less crowded. But people are more agro at the sunshine coast when it does get crowded.

Gold Coast has better night life and more travellers and less xenophobic compare to Sunshine Coast. Trust me ... if you ain't white you get the SH*ts there.

Well, in this situation I'm more interested in learning surfing and as I can't go to Australia with work & travel visa, I have to go with student visa or find an employer in Australia, witch is quite hard to do being far away from there So that's why I look for cheaper courses.
