Click here to see the profile of this user 		Sydney surf question - 2007/08/16 15:40 Backpacking to Sydney soon and although i know there is good surf there, I want to find out where the best place is to settle into a backpackers for a while, from where it is easy to get around, close to the beach and close to good spots to party, and obviously to surf!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

After the north shore (Manly) get out of town! Go north to Crescent Heads/Angourie/Lennox Heads or Byron Bay. Check out:

Click here to see the profile of this user 		Re:Sydney surf question - 2007/08/17 07:52 Cant speak for Sydney as Im yet to go there, but Byron Bay is AWESOME! grab a van & do the north cosat of NSW... Plenty of great spots and a short drive to the gold coast from Byron for more waves.. the Byron area picks up heaps of swell so you shouldnt have to many flat days..
