learning in CR - 2007/04/26 10:04Hi. I'm going to Costa Rica in 4 weeks and I want to take the chance to learn how to surf will being over there.
I was woundering if someone knew some places, not too expensive, even for the stay than for the rental and courses, and where it is really friendly and close to the locals.
I was thinking about Puntarenas, or Jaco. What about those spots?
Thanks

Re:learning in CR - 2007/04/29 23:02I'm going for the second time to Costa Rica this year from May 26 - June 2nd, to Playa Grande. Though I'm not really familar with the Jaco area I know that Grande is one of the most consistant breaks, besides it's mostlty a sandy bottom beach and the little busy tourist town of Tamarindo is just 20 minutes away, there it usually broke smaller and it has surf schools/camps based there. Good Luck and as they say there "Pura Vida" Take Care, Richard
