Re:Fish ? - 2007/01/17 02:11 yea. I just got a new 5'8" quad that is a blend between an old and new school fish. I find that having the quad is the perfect set up-- it holds in all the right places, but you can also get the fins loose when you want. Although I longboard mostly, I don't think I'm every going to stray from a quad (on both my longboard and shorter boards)

Re:Fish ? - 2007/01/27 11:29 Check out:

I ride a MR SuperFish "copy" 7'2" x 22" x 3". Killer board!

(Slight V at the tail and slight double concave bottom).

Paddles like a 9'0" Longboard ... rides like a 6"2" Thruster.

Much better than the quad fin .. you can feel the drag.

The outer fins are Mark Richards TFX 5" FCS twins, and there is a small 3" FCS stabiliser in the centre. The board performs like a faster, looser thruster. The fins are made of fiberglass so the performance and flex have the same feel as a glassed-on fin with good holding power and lots of drive. The new template has more rake than the original to control the slide and to improve the fins' drive and holding power.

Even though the fins have been principally designed for MR's Super Twins to be ridden with the stabilizer it rides great without it!
