Re:epoxy longboards pros and cons - 2007/01/05 02:24for sure, i appreciate the efforts of the little guy in the shed, doing his thing, up to his pits in fibre and resin. Ive always been a loyal customer of fluid juice, lovely boards, good guys to deal with. I just need something tougher to take the rigours of travel, and four rugrats hassling me to have a go on the log! But nuthins gonna replace my 12 foot mr cruiser, complete with big old tea stains where shes run aground! mmmm... sentimentality....dont you just love it?

Re:epoxy longboards pros and cons - 2007/01/11 07:08CHRISFER,
I CURRENTLY OWN 5 SURFTECH LONGBOARDS AND 4 SURFTECH SHORTBOARDS. NEEDLESS TO SAY I THINK THEY ARE GREAT AND MAKE EXCELLENT TRAVEL BOARDS. FORTUNATELY I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CHOP AND CHANGE BOARDS AS THERE APPEARS TO BE A MARKET LOCALLY FOR THEM. AS A RESULT I HAVE FOUND BOARDS THAT SUIT ME. THERE ARE TWO 2 DRAWBACKS WITH THESE BOARDS - 1. THE INITIAL COST, THEY ARE NOT CHEAP AND PRICES HAVE JUST GONE UP IN THE UK. 2. THERE ARE NOT MANY PEOPLE AROUND WHO CAN PERFORM WHAT I WOULD CALL A PROFESSIONAL REPAIR. AS FOR SIZE - IT MATTERS, BIGGER IS BETTER!!
