go pro cameras, who's used em? - 2009/11/24 18:33so I recently bought a go pro camera off the company website and have been messing with using it on my surfboard as well as my catamaran. anybody on this forum have any experience using these little cameras that could offer any tips on using them? for those that have never heard of these things, here's a link to their website. http://www.goprocamera.com/
I learned about em when I saw a guy with one on his board out on the water here on oahu.

Re:go pro cameras, who's used em? - 2009/11/29 01:20A co-worker of mine just returned from Nias where he had 1 on his board.Takes a while getting used to the view, but it is kinda cool documenting your ride.

Re:go pro cameras, who's used em? - 2010/01/17 10:25I love mine. The one thing that bothers me is the lack of battery life, but it looks like they fixed that in the new generation.

Re:go pro cameras, who's used em? - 2010/01/18 02:47I got one a year ago and had a lot of fun with it for a few weeks then it just stopped working. In a way I am glad, it was starting to take over my life. Not only was I spending all the days I could surfing I was spending hours at night editing the clips. Anyway, those great waves all look better in my head than on a screen.

I know what you mean. Lately, it seems like if I didn't catch the wave on camera it didn't actually happen. Maybe I need to go bareback for a while.
