As for SOCAL Rivers, the LA River is more a huge concrete lined
storm water drain ... the San Gabriel Rivermouth, in Seal Beach is where I surf ... can be a regional classic.

Air pix shot in 2004 shows it breaking all the way from Cuda's (North Jetty) across Middles and Crabs (South Jetty) almost a mile long ride!
