Just speading the word that November 7 and 8, 2009 we will hold the 2nd Surfing Hainan Open, at Riyuewan bay on Hainan island China.
I know there is interest to see if there are waves in China, and yes there are, the first event was a great success, and all interested people are welcome to enter, watch or just chillout and enjoy beautiful hainan island.

If your thinking of checking out China why not hit uo Hainan while your here and come surfing, support the event.

And I saw photos from the first event and it looks really good. Nice atmosphere, nice people and good waves.

I wish you the best for the 2nd event.

I would LOVE to come and check it out next year, but I feel like I live too far away Are there any other comps during the year, maybe when flights would be cheaper?? haha, anyway, best of luck with everything, the pic makes it look AmAzInG!!

A lot of people are working or holidaying in China from all around the world,a very diverse and cool bunch,
probably get people from further abroad this time too.

Its a fun event to incorporate into a holiday in asia, and if we score good swell, there are some sick spots to surf
