Re:Surfer’s ear indepth description from SurfDonkey - 2009/02/22 16:57 hi Donkey, my connection is way too slow to look at anything largish, can you do the bit on surfer's ear in smaller format?

Re:Surfer’s ear indepth description from SurfDonkey - 2009/03/02 08:08 I'll see what I can do. Can you watch Youtube stuff? I have it cross posted there too.

Re:Surfer’s ear indepth description from SurfDonkey - 2009/03/06 05:25 Thanks, the youtube videos worked better for me.

Interesting info. But I'd be interested in knowing how cold is 'cold water'? Can you get this sort of effect from 60-70F water? or 55-65F water? Or is it only from 40-50F water?

Re:Surfer’s ear indepth description from SurfDonkey - 2009/03/06 08:10 The doc said that it is cold water trauma built up over time. So it's probably the repeated cold water exposure versus a few times in really cold. Your ear is "healing" from the trauma of the cold water temp (versus your reg body temp) and growing bone.

It's a good question but I'm not sure of the answer and I don't think the doc mentions it. He said a lot of relevant info, that's why I broke it up into 3 parts and just let the camera run.

I'd say start surfing with plugs.

Thanks

Craig
