My Best Ever Session:	Don't recalla particular session that I would consider my best ever. Surfing is such a unique experience every wave is so different, every session has it's particularly sweet and memorable moments.
Biggest Fear or Wipe out:	Wasn't really a wipe out, but I got caught in the boneyard by rogue outsides at Ab's, Sunset Cliffs, San Diego on December 23 or 24th, 2005. It was two days after "Big Wednesday" but it was still pretty dang big. Possibly bigger because we were out at low tide, and for the Cliffs to work best, low tide is best. It was particularly large, no joke, 20' - 25' faces, barrels large enough to stand in. My buddy Chris bails off his board at the top of the first wave in the set. He rides a 10' and I swear that board could have stood on top of itself and not reached the bottom of the wave, I estimate about a 23' - 24' face. I'm about 20 yards in front of where Chris bails at the top of the lip, first thought is, sure hope his leash holds, cause I was directly in the line of fire. Wave breaks, I'm held under for at least 30 seconds, possibly longer. The whitewash is so thick, there are so many bubbles, there's nothing to swim in... I vaguely remember trying to hold onto my board, because if your leash snaps it's a good 1/2 swim to shore in these conditions. Finally breached and my board is right there, not 6' away, never even felt a tug on my leash. This is a good thing because the first waves brother is coming in just about now, and I do what I can to keep my board and not drown out. It breaks and I get worked again, board sticks with me and my leash holds. Third monster is coming in, I turn toward land and grab the rails with all I've got. The wave breaks a short distance behind me, and in about 1 second I went from 0 to 40mph. The force of the wave lifted my body off the board and literally chucked me forward, I felt my back snap, and wondered if I'd truly hurt myself. I managed to maintain control of the board, headed directly for shore and hurtling along. It was the longest belly ride I'd ever had, but it was so rough and I was so bushed after being trashed by 3 rogues, I just rode it in. I think these waves were the largest I have ever been in the water with. It was a beautiful, calm and semi cloudy day. I thank God my leash didn't snap as that one was dang long swim, and I was bushed already...
