My Best Ever Session:	Near Sigatoka, fiji. i'm stayin at some run down backpakers joint looking for surf. i'm kitted out with a 6'8 gun and my favorite reef board being 6'1. i love a reefy, hollow wave which actually has a bit of size. gotta love gettin the blood pumpin.i decide to take a hitchhike down the road a bit and it turns out that this fisherman picks me up and takes me down the his boat. ghe has a surfboard in his boat as well and so the 2 of us putter out to this break out in the moiddle of absolutely nowhwerw... all there is is 1.3' of water which seperates us from thge razorsharp reef. we're the only 2 people there is in miles and miles. it's about 2' off the back, but coz the wave sucks below sea level, the faces were like 8 foot. with perfect left reef banks lining up which run for a couple of hundred metres... fucking heaven hey. we were out there all day, and did not take 1 photo, did not tell anyone about it for a long time... we just kept tghis secretsession to ourselves and always remeniss on this beautiful force ofr nature.
Biggest Fear or Wipe out:	biggest wipeout was definitely a few months ago... feb '07. it was a session at hastings point out the front of our beach house. it was the morning of my sisters' wedding actually. so i went to hit up the early and the place was fucking smoking off its titts. solid as 5' off the back and breakin onto 2foot of water... gotta love the hasting point sandbars... hard as bloody concrete. i take up on this backhand barrel and i'm leaning as far forward as i possible can coz i am shittin myself. the lip on this thing is as wide as i am long. fucking heavy. i get lipped to the head which knocks me forward into the path of my surfboard. the nose actually runs into my bottom lip... through the lip and into the bottom row of teeth. i get picked up and hurled on the sand bar and held down and dragged for 50 metres in 1.5-2 foot of water... that fucking depressing. 2 hours later, i was standing up the front of my sisters wedding with some retard home-made piece of shit over my chin with blood patchescoming out... the cut was worth every breat taking moment of that precious wave
Favourite Surfers:	ry craike for sure. his style is so chilled and relaxed but his approach is so vicious and ballistic. he pushes the boundaries and pulls shit which dudes haven't even imagined. sickest freesurfer...
